  • Do you sell teddy bears that are unique to your shop?

    Yes! All our teddy bears are designed in-house with unique patterns and styles. We pride ourselves on offering exclusive teddy bear designs that you won’t find anywhere else. Each bear is hand-crafted with care and attention to detail to ensure quality and charm.

  • Can I commission a custom teddy bear with my own design?

    Absolutely! We offer custom teddy bear designs where you can work with our team to create a bear that reflects your vision. Whether it’s for a special occasion, a gift, or a branding initiative, we can bring your ideas to life. To find out more visit our Bespoke Toys Page.

     Please note, due to our high demand, we are currently booked up for custom work for the next 18 months. We recommend getting in touch early to discuss your project and secure a spot on our waitlist.

  • How long does it take to get a custom-designed teddy bear?

    Custom teddy bear orders typically take from several weeks -up to 1,5 months to complete due to the careful, hand-made process involved. Our current waitlist is around 18 months, so please plan accordingly if you need a bear for a specific event or gift. We’ll provide you with an estimated completion time when we confirm your order.

  • Safety Guidance for custom items

    Please note, all custom items made to order are classified as Collectible items and they cannot be certified for children under 14y.o. Please, make sure you keep them away from children.

    Once you have collected your bespoke order, you take full responsibility of ensuring the proper use, storage, and supervision of you bespoke item in accordance with the provided safety guidance.

  • Do you repair teddy bears?

    Yes, we offer a teddy bear repair service! Whether your bear needs new stuffing, stitch repairs, or a full makeover, we can restore your beloved bear to its former glory. Visit our  Plush Clinic page for more details.

    Please, keep in mind, our repair services are currently fully booked for the next 18 months, hence it’s important to plan well ahead if you’re looking to get a bear repaired. You can contact us to get on our repair waitlist.

  • Do you repair plastic/wooden toys?

    Unfortunately we can’t provide you with service of plastic or wooden toy restoration. We work only with textile.

  • Can you create custom teddy bears for my company or brand?

    Yes! We offer corporate or bulk custom teddy bear designs for businesses, events, and promotional purposes. Whether you’re looking to create branded teddy bears for giveaways, events, or as part of a larger marketing campaign, we can collaborate with you on creating a product that aligns with your branding.  please visit out Corporate Toys page for more info.

    Due to our current schedule, custom orders for businesses are also subject to our 18-month waitlist. Please reach out early to discuss your needs.

    Please note, in some cases corporate branded toys cannot be certified.

    The price for custom teddy bears and repairs varies depending on the complexity of the design or the extent of the repair. We provide personalized quotes based on your specific requirements. Once you reach out to us, we’ll provide an estimate and timeline for your project. Custom work and repairs tend to be priced higher due to the craftsmanship and time involved.

  • Can I visit your store to see the teddy bears in person?

    Yes, you’re welcome to visit our store and explore our selection of unique, hand-crafted teddy bears. We encourage customers to stop by, meet our team, and see our bears up close before making a purchase. If you’re interested in a custom design or repair service, please contact us beforehand to discuss availability and book an appointment if necessary.

  • Do you offer any pre-made themed bears?

    Yes! In addition to our custom work, we offer a selection of pre-made themed bears designed by our team. These include seasonal bears (e.g., holiday bears), bears with special accessories (e.g., bears in outfits), and more. Check out our Shop or visit our store in Corbridge for our latest collection.

  • How can I contact you for more information about custom orders or repairs?

Please include as much detail as possible about your request so we can provide the most accurate information and quote. If you’re looking to get on the waitlist for repairs or custom orders, we recommend contacting us early due to our 18-month booking.

  • Do you have any specials or discounts?

    We occasionally offer special promotions and discounts for our teddy bear collections, seasonal sales, or special events. Signing Up for our Newsletters to stay updated on upcoming sales, exclusive offers, and new product releases.

  • Am I able to return my order?

    Yes, if you are not completely satisfied with any premade products you have purchased, and they are unused and within their original packaging and labels, you can return them to us for a full refund within 14 days of the order.

    Please note, all Bespoke toys, Memory toys and Corporate branded toys are non-returnable items.

     

Teddy Bear Safety and Care FAQs

  • How can I keep my teddy bear looking soft and cuddly for years?

    To maintain your teddy bear’s softness, regularly fluff it up by gently shaking and massaging the stuffing. Keep it out of direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause the fabric to fade and the stuffing to lose its shape. Additionally, store your bear in a cool, dry place to preserve its integrity.

  • How do I wash my teddy bear without damaging it?

    Always check the care label on your teddy bear for specific instructions. If the label allows machine washing:

    • Use a gentle cycle with cool water.
    • Place your teddy bear in a pillowcase or laundry bag to protect it during the wash.
    • Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach, which can damage both fabric and colours.
      If handwashing is recommended:
    • Fill a basin with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
    • Gently agitate the water to lather, then soak the bear for 10-15 minutes.
    • Rinse with cool water until all soap is removed.
      After washing, reshape the teddy bear and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid wringing or twisting, which can distort its shape.

  • Can I clean my teddy bear if it’s heavily stained or soiled?

    For tough stains, spot-clean your teddy bear using a soft cloth and mild detergent. Test the detergent on an inconspicuous area first. For stubborn stains, you can use a stain remover designed for delicate fabrics, always avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the fabric. If the bear is too large or delicate, consider professional cleaning.

  • Will washing affect my teddy bear’s colour?

    Over time, washing can cause some fading, especially with darker or bright colours. To minimize this:

    • Always wash teddy bears in cold or lukewarm water.
    • Wash bears inside out to protect the outer fabric from friction.
    • Dry them out of direct sunlight to avoid colour fading.

  • How can I keep my teddy bear smelling fresh?

    If your teddy bear needs freshening up between washes, you can sprinkle some baking soda on it, let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then gently vacuum it off. You can also use a fabric freshener spray (suitable for plush toys) for a light scent. Avoid using perfumes, which can stain or irritate sensitive skin.

  • How can I prevent my teddy bear from losing its shape?

    To keep your teddy bear in top condition:

    • Regularly fluff and redistribute the stuffing, especially after washing.
    • Avoid storing your teddy bear in cramped spaces where it could be squashed or misshapen.
    • If your teddy bear has movable joints or special features, check for any signs of wear and tear, and repair them promptly.

  • Is it safe for young children to play with teddy bears?

    Yes, but always supervise young children during play. Make sure the teddy bear is free from small parts (like buttons or plastic eyes) that could pose a choking hazard. Ensure the bear’s stitching is secure and check it regularly for loose threads or damage. If the bear has any removable accessories, make sure they are securely attached.

  • Can I repair my teddy bear if it gets torn or damaged?

    Yes! Minor tears can often be repaired using a needle and thread. Use a thread colour that closely matches the teddy bear’s fabric. For larger repairs or if you are unsure, you can take the bear to our Plush Clinic to ensure it’s restored safely.

  • How can I store my teddy bear when not in use?

    Store your teddy bear in a clean, dry space to prevent dirt build-up or mould. Avoid storing it in damp or humid areas. For long-term storage, place your teddy bear in a breathable cotton bag or a large box with tissue paper to help maintain its shape and protect it from dust.

  • How often should I clean my teddy bear?

    Teddy bears don’t need to be washed too frequently. Clean them when they appear visibly dirty or start to smell. For regular maintenance, brush them off and fluff them up every few weeks to keep them looking their best.

Payment questions

  • Prices and VAT

    All prices displayed online are VAT inclusive.

    VAT is applicable to most of our products sold within the UK, except for specific items like certain type of soft toys, children’s accessories, etc. which are VAT-exempt.

    If a product is not subject to VAT, this will be clearly indicated on its product page. Otherwise, VAT will apply.

  • Is it safe to use my credit card online?

    Yes, our payment partner is PayPal. All the information exchanged is encrypted and we have no access to your credit card details.

Delivery Questions

  • If I place an order, when will I receive it?

    We provide a standard delivery option; it means that we aim to deliver your orders within 3-5 working days (Monday – Friday).

    Deliveries to International Destinations as well as Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and any UK islands may take longer to deliver. Please see our delivery page for more up to date information.

  • When will you dispatch my order?

    Once payment has cleared, we aim to dispatch your order within 2-3 working days (Monday-Friday).

  • Who will deliver my order?

    My Oh My utilises several different delivery services depending on the goods ordered and your location. Your order may be delivered by DPD or Parcel Force.

  • Will my order require a signature?

    If your order is sent using a parcel courier (for larger orders), then we will require a signature upon delivery. If there is no one available to accept the delivery a calling card will be left, allowing you to re-arrange the delivery for a more appropriate time.

  • Will you provide tracking information?

    If tracking information is made available by our courier, we will make it available to you via the account page of our website. To access this, you will need to log in using your email address and password setup during the checkout process.
